Prior to FM Tennis, Chris was a Tennis Pro for over three years at The Woodlands Athletic Club, and before that, a Head Pro at the Springfield Racquet and Fitness Center (Springfield, Illinois). Besides serving as a club pro, Chris competed at USTA tournaments. 

In college, Chris competed for the University of Idaho, an NCAA Division 1 school. While at Idaho, Chris was the captain of his tennis team and received the Doubles Most Valuable Player Award two years in a row.

As a junior, Chris was ranked as high as #2 in the USTA Pacific Northwest Section and in the Top 150 in the US. He graduated from an elite private high school - Weil Tennis & Preparatory Academy in Ojai, California. At Weil, Chris accomplished the prestigious Wild Diamond Award for Academic Achievements.
