Intermediate Level (ages 8-14)
Before any young promising player can become the next Roger Federer or Melanie Oudin, they must first compete at the junior level ZAT tournament.
ZAT stands for Zonal Advancement Tournament, and is the first step in achieving a state ranking with the US Tennis Association. A player qualifies to compete at the Championship Division level after accumulating 65 ZAT points within a 12-month period. There are up to five USTA ZAT tournaments each month across the state of Texas. Similar rules apply to the Championship Division, players move on to the Super Champs level after accumulating 65 points.
We provide guided direction to individual players to help them advance to the next level as fast as possible. Varying daily drills are an integral part of this group's traing, and supervised matchplay used to guide the skill development. We will have fun, but players must be committed to hard work.
