Prior to FM Tennis, Brett was an Assistant Pro at the Woodlands Athletic Club (2007-2008) and also worked with King Daddy Sports, a high-level tennis academy in Houston, TX (2003-2006).

In college, he attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, a NCAA Division 1 school.  During that time, Brett played the majority of his collegiate career at #2 singles and #1 doubles and helped the team tie the school record for victories in a season as well as achieving its first ever ITA All-Academic Team Award.

As a junior, he was ranked in the Top 20 in Texas Boy’s 18 Super Champ Division. He graduated from The Woodlands High School in 2003, serving as a 2-time team captain and Most Valuable Player.
